(Regnum) - A special commission in Armenia on regulating public services prolonged ArmRosgazprom's license for gas imports from Russia to Armenia up to December 31, 2007.
ArmRosgazprom has an exclusive right for receiving and distributing Russian natural gas in Armenia's domestic market. The ArmRosgazprom was established in 1997.
It was founded by Gazprom (Russia), the Armenian government and Itera Company. At present time, Russia is the only gas supplier to Armenia. Annually, 1.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas are transported to Armenia via the Georgian territory, reports Trend.
