Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia has recognized Levan Gachecheladze, the leader of the United Opposition, as a member of the Georgian parliament, CEC chairman Zurab Kachkachishvili briefed to media on 5 June.
The recognition of Gachecheladze's authorities was delayed due to his problems with certificate from the Narcological Center. According to doctors, drugs were revealed in his blood. But later it was revealed that it was alkaloids from a pain-killer.
"All the problems around Gachecheladze is due to the wrong decision of doctors who made public the information about the drug in his blood, but there are no problems with CEC as the certificate was produced on time," Kachkachishvili said.
