Georgia’s imports from Azerbaijan from January through September 2021 amounted to $389.6 million, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to Geostat, the current figure increased by 8.1 percent, compared to $360.4 million over the reporting period of 2020.
TOP-5 exporting goods from Azerbaijan to Georgia (Jan. through Sept. 2021):
Fuels and lubricants – $259.4 million;
Industrial supplies – $100.6 million;
Food and beverages – $20.3 million;
Capital goods – $4.9 million;
Transport equipment – $2.8 million.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranks 5 among top trading partners by imports with a 5.5 percent share in the total Georgian imports.
Meanwhile, Georgian imports over the first 9 months of 2021 amounted to $7 billion, which is an increase of 21.6 percent, compared to $5.7 billion in the reporting period of 2020.
