Georgia shares its top partners by trade turnover

Georgian total foreign trade turnover (excluding undeclared trade) from January through October 2021 amounted to $11.3 billion, which is 23 percent more than over the same period of 2020 – $9.1 billion, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The share of the top ten trading partners in the total external trade turnover of Georgia amounted to 69.7 percent. The top trading partners were Turkey, Russia, and China.

TOP-10 Georgia’s trade turnover partners (Jan. through Oct. 2021), compared to the same period of 2020:

Turkey – $1.6 billion (33.3 percent increase);

Russia – $1.29 billion (21.6 percent increase);

China – $1.22 billion (23 percent increase);

Azerbaijan – $892.1 million (19.5 percent increase);

The US – $643.7 million (26.3 percent increase);

Ukraine – $599.5 million (25.7 percent increase);

Armenia – $555.1 million (7.7 percent increase);

Germany – $444.7 million (24.6 percent increase);

Bulgaria – $335.8 million (3.4 percent decrease);

Italy – $247 million (41.2 percent increase).
