( dpa ) - Rescue workers hurried against time Tuesday after six people were injured when a construction crane in Miami broke off and fell onto another building under construction, CNN reported.
Lieutenant Ignatius Carroll of the rescue services told CNN that six people had been injured, including two critically.
The team was worried that the crane would break off and cause further damage before they could remove any other people stranded by the accident.
The crane was being used to build a luxury, 360-unit condominium.
Earlier this month, seven people were killed when a crane collapsed in New York's Manhattan. A city inspector was arrested for lying about checking on the crane 11 days before it collapsed.
