Located in the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) is a legendary time trial motorcycle race. Going back 100 years there have been 224 fatalities as the race sees very high speeds over 34 miles of very narrow and twisting public roads traveling through rolling mountainsides as well as small villages with stone walls, curbs, fences, buildings and of course lots of spectators. Beyond being a sponsor of the TT for the past few years, Audi has history at the world-famous race. Back in 1905, one of Audi's founding companies, NSU, competed with considerable success. As a result, it was only natural that event organizers return the favor in honoring the 272 PS Audi TTS coupe, which was named after the TT motorsport event, as the official car.

Peter Duffy, Audi UK's Head of Marketing, commented: "The Isle of Man held the very first Tourist Trophy event in Britain and became an integral part of Audi's heritage in its days with NSU. We look forward to writing the next chapter in our company's history with the public showing of the new Audi TTS on the island."

There will be a total of eight Audi models from the entire range to manage the running of the event including vital course inspection and roads opening duties. The Isle of Man TT runs from 24 May-6 June.
