A total of 181,000 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) in the 5-th month of the current Iranian year (July 22 - August 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).
According to the report, 41,500 tons of goods were loaded and 139,000 tons were unloaded at the port in the 5-th month.
During the reporting period, 40,100 tons of goods were exported and 137,000 tons were imported through the port.
“In addition, 1,270 tons of goods were loaded and 1,670 tons were unloaded for transit via the Amirabad port over the 5th month,” the report noted.
According to the report, 140 tons of goods were loaded for other purposes and 204 tons were unloaded during the same period at the port.
“About 121,000 tons of essential products, 5,380 tons of metal products, 30,800 tons of construction materials and mining materials, 1,780 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 6,060 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port within the 5-th month,” the report added.
More than 769 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar goods, 9 tons of other goods, 1,160 tons of container products and 13,000 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded in the 5th month at the port, according to the report.
In total, 5.93 million tons of goods were loaded and 4.08 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 5th month.
The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports decreased by 19.8 percent during the reporting period compared to the same period last Iranian year.
