BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. The EU will provide financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan for the development of digital sphere, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting on the sidelines of the EU-Central Asia Connectivity Conference in Samarkand, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Moldogaziev and Director General for International Partnership of the EU Commission, Peteris Ustubs discussed the Kyrgyz-EU program cooperation.
As reported, an agreement was reached to continue projects under the Multi-Annual Indicative Program for 2021-2027, as well as to receive budgetary support in the amount of 3 million euros as part of a project in the field of digitalization.
Earlier, in late October the European Council President Charles Michel during a meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov in Kazakhstan's Astana announced that the EU is ready to step up an economic co-op with Kyrgyzstan, underlining his willingness to offer specific projects for interaction with Kyrgyzstan.
