BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 30. Central Asian countries are poised to become a key raw exchange market for technology firms, said Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Economy and Commerce, Daniyar Amangeldiev, at the Intergovernmental Investment and Mining Forum in Dushanbe, Trend reports.

He emphasized that Central Asian countries have traditionally played a crucial role in supplying precious and non-ferrous metals, rare earth elements, and fossil fuels to the global market.

"Our countries are rich in natural resources, containing nearly the entire periodic table. We have the potential to establish ourselves as a major raw exchange market for technology companies and to develop infrastructure for deep resource processing in collaboration with neighboring republics," the minister said.

He concluded by urging regional countries to focus on adopting modern technologies, attracting investments, developing human capital, and improving legislation.

Kyrgyzstan, he noted, is ready to share its accumulated experience and knowledge in these areas to foster joint development and prosperity in the region.

To note, on October 29, the first International Investment Forum and Exhibition for Tajikistan's mining and metallurgical industry commenced in Dushanbe, running until October 30. The forum is expected to lead to the signing of partnership memoranda for cooperation and project implementation, aimed at attracting direct investments into Tajikistan's mining sector.
