Uzbekistan and UAE discussed the cultivation and processing of agricultural products with subsequent delivery to the Emirati market and to third countries, Trend reports referring to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.
The mentioned issue was discussed during the meeting between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and a delegation from the United Arab Emirates headed by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of Suhail Al Mazroui.
The president of Uzbekistan noted the active efforts of both sides to implement the agreements at the highest level, primarily in the trade, economic, investment and financial spheres.
In turn, Suhail Al Mazroui thanked for the all-round support for the activities of Emirati investors in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the promotion of joint projects with the attraction of private investment, including in the agro-industrial sector, including the cultivation and processing of agricultural products with subsequent delivery to the Emirati market and to third countries.
In addition, the parties agreed to continue the active preparation and practical implementation of large projects in the field of alternative energy, to modernize energy and other important infrastructure facilities, to build modern hotel complexes, as well as to increase the investment portfolio within the framework of new business initiatives and the implementation of financial and technical assistance programs.
Also, the importance of expanding effective interaction in the field of education and training of national management personnel with the participation of the leading organizations of the United Arab Emirates was emphasized.
