The Aras Free Trade-Industrial Zone in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, located in north-west of the country has seen a 10 percent rise in its output in the first half of this Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, said Ali Navid, deputy director of the zone, Trend reports.

The deputy director noted that the zone produced 200,000 tons of various industrial and agricultural products in six months.

Navid also said that the production level is expected to increase significantly by the end of the year if it continues at the same pace.

He added that the zone attracted 46 trillion rials (about $1.1 billion) worth of investments in six months, which is three times more than the same period last year.
