BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18. Azerbaijan exported approximately 9.236 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products worth $5.715 billion from January through April 2023, Trend reports via the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
Italy tops the list of three largest importers of Azerbaijani oil in the first four months of 2023 (3.362 million tons worth $2.108 billion), followed by India (922,967 tons worth $543.045 million) and Spain (826,905 tons worth $526.641 million).

Oil from Azerbaijan is transported to neighboring countries and global markets via three pipelines: Baku-Novorossiysk, Baku-Supsa, and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC). Currently, the transportation via the Baku-Supsa pipeline is suspended. Additionally, oil is exported by rail to terminals in Batumi and Kulevi in Georgia.
