The 12th Asian Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Engineering Exhibition (OGA 2009) ended in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday.

The 2007 show had attracted 946 companies from 37 countries.

OGA 2009 showcased products and services which cover every aspect of the oil and gas industry, from E&P technology, geological, geophysical and reservoir technology, instrumentation and control, to marine equipment, shipyard services and engineering.

A seminar on investment opportunities in Iran's oil industry was also held on the sidelines of the exhibition on Thursday, Fars News Agency reported.

Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Noureddin Shahnazizadeh attended the seminar.

The Iranian Oil Ministry delegation visited the city of Kedah on the first leg of a tour of Malaysia to observe the construction of a refinery which is being built by an Iranian team.

The trip began two days after the Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas announced that it is ready to cooperate with Iran in a project to develop the South Pars gas field and to review its position with the project's new Chinese partner.
