Azerbaijani Demirbank has announced a new appointment in one of its departments.
Sevinj Mammadova was appointed director in Demirbank's operations department, a message posted on the bank's website said.
"Earlier, Samira Shiraliyeva served as the head of Demirbank's operations department," the message said. "Shiraliyeva was appointed Demirbank's director general last month."
According to the bank's website, currently, there are four vacant positions in the bank, namely, director of corporate banking department, director of retail banking department, director of risk management department and director of strategic development department.
DemirBank, the first commercial bank of Azerbaijan, started to operate in 1989.
Such major international financial organizations as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Netherlands Development Finance Company are among its shareholders.
Farid Abushov is the chairman of Demirbank's board, while Azer Gumbatov and Orkhan Vakhabov are Abushov's deputies.
According to the message, among three directors general of the bank are Mardan Shikhaliyev, Ogtay Aliyev and Samira Shiraliyeva.
