A barrage of three rockets was launched from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel on Sunday evening, the Israeli Defense Forces confirmed to Xinhua.
One of the rockets landed in an open area near the Sha'ar Hanegev community and security forces have started scanning the other two.
No injuries or damages were caused by the attack.
This is the fourth time in a week that a rockets barrage was launched by militants in the Gaza Strip into Israel.
On Wednesday morning, two rockets were fired into Israel following a night of air raids by the Israeli Air Force in the Gaza Strip, the first of its kind since Operation Pillar of Defense took place last November.
The air raids were conducted in retaliation for three mortar shells fired form Gaza into Israel's Eshkol region earlier Tuesday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday that Israel would respond "strongly" if the fire from Gaza continues.
"If the quiet is violated, we will respond strongly," Netanyahu said, adding that "The security of Israel's citizens is my chief concern and we know how to defend their security."
