President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today bp executive vice president Andy Inglis over completion of his tenure, AzerTAj state news agency reports.
Inglis said bp and Azerbaijan enjoy strong partnership. He noted various projects, including Shah Deniz 2 field are progressing successfully under the Azerbaijani President`s leadership.
According to Inglis, more than one billion of crude oil was transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. BP executive vice president also said 2010 saw great accomplishments in cooperation between bp and Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, highly valued the contribution that Andy Inglis had made to development of cooperation between bp and Azerbaijan during his tenure. The Head of State called year 2010 year "successful" in terms of cooperation between Azerbaijan and bp, saying great job had been done this year. The President described it as continuation of long-term partnership between Azerbaijan and bp.
Touching upon the issues agreed for this year, President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the planned projects would serve partnership between bp and Azerbaijan in coming decades.
The Head of State hailed the current level of cooperation, saying it has strategic importance.
The President also expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation would continue successfully on Shah Deniz, Shafaq, Asiman, Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and other projects.
