BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. Youth Unity of Azerbaijani Canadians has been established at the House of Azerbaijan in Toronto, Trend reports via the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony at the House of Azerbaijan was graced by the presence of a celebrated Azerbaijani scientist, the esteemed Honored Scientist, and the first Azerbaijani professor to snag the Humboldt Prize, Masud Afandiyev. Also in attendance were the former Ontario Member of Parliament and a heavyweight in politics, Reza Moridi, along with Professor Ilgar Mammadov.
They congratulated the Azerbaijani youth for pulling together and wished them all the best in their endeavors.
Afandiyev underscored that getting the ball rolling on the unity's establishment is a crucial and opportune move.
He discussed the significance of building bridges between the newly formed unity and Azerbaijan, as well as the value of coming together for joint events and meetings with organizations working in Azerbaijani Houses abroad.
The masterminds behind the Youth Unity of Azerbaijani Canadians, Farid Malikov and Fidan Aliyeva, pointed out that the primary aim of the union is to bring together Azerbaijani youth residing in Canada and to chew the fat on scientific and other pressing matters.
Additionally, they spoke about an upcoming youth-focused event that is being planned.
During the meeting, Afandiyev, Moridi, and Mammadov imparted their significant thoughts to the youth regarding science, politics, and personal development.
