BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. A total of 16 transportation hubs have been established so far in connection with the COP29 event, Head of the COP29 Transport Department Orkhan Mahmudlu said during a briefing on the transportation plan to be implemented during the conference, Trend reports.
He noted that the transportation hubs are located near hotels and residential complexes.
"To ensure comfortable movement for participants, a fleet of 350 buses will be put into operation. These buses will connect Heydar Aliyev International Airport with the main transportation hubs in Baku and its surroundings," Mahmudlu added.
In a mere 10 days, Azerbaijan will host COP29, the decision about which was made at the COP28 plenary meeting held in Dubai on December 11 last year.
