By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
Georgia's largest animal feed producer begins construction of a new plant in the summer of 2022, Trend reports citing Georgian media.
According to Nutrimax manager Bek Bekaia, the Dutch partners are already in Tbilisi and the project is underway.
“The local market is in great demand for fish feed. We will start production to drive out imports. At the first stage, we will own 25-30 percent of the market, and our share will gradually grow. These products are not manufactured in Georgia, and our company will be the first in the country, ”said the representative of the company Revaz Lapachi.
According to him, the plant with an investment value of 2.5 million euros will produce 1,500-2,000 tons of feed per day.
“The amount of investment may change over time, and the cost of the project will be revised,” notes Lapachi.
Nutrimax produces 35,000 tons of products annually. Nutrimax has been successfully operating in the Georgian market since 2009. It currently exports 30 percent of its products to Azerbaijan, Armenia and African countries.
