Intercompany relations to be legally regulated at Kazakhstan's metallurgy market

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jun.15

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development signed an agreement providing for regulation of the scrap market, Trend reports with reference to the ministry.

On June 15, 2020, the ministry signed an agreement on cooperation with the country’s metallurgical and scrap-collecting enterprises.

The agreement takes into account the interest of the parties for mutually beneficial and equal cooperation on a long-term and stable basis. The agreement is based on the principles of openness, transparency and mutual respect for the interests of the parties.

The agreement provides for the following obligations of metallurgical enterprises: concluding long-term contracts for the supply of scrap metal with scrap-collecting companies indicating supply volumes; paying for the delivered scrap metal in non-cash form according to the conditions reflected in the concluded contract.

Terms of payment, technical requirements for scrap metal and other obligations will be agreed upon directly between the companies.
