The export of goods from Azerbaijan to China in total terms amounted to $421.5 million from January through October 2020, which demonstrates a decline of 40.6 percent compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Thus, the share of China in the total export of Azerbaijan decreased from 4.22 percent to 3.45 percent.
However, by early November 2020, the import of Chinese products to Azerbaijan increased from $1.08 billion to $1.1 billion (6.1 percent) for the year.
The share of China in the total import of Azerbaijan amounted to 13.05 percent of the total volume compared to 9.42 percent in the same period of last year.
The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries amounted to $1.6 billion, which is by $223 million or 12.5 percent less compared to the same period of last year.
The balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan with China remained negative over the reporting period, amounting to $723 million.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
