Turkmenistan’s Sabyr, Timur Taşewler company has established the production of salt slabs from local raw materials, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The tile thickness of 2.5 centimeters weighs an average of 2.20 kilograms. The company manufactures about 1,000 units of products per day. The plates are sent both to the local market and abroad.

Salt tiles are widely used for medicinal purposes, including in the Bagabat sanatorium of Turkmenistan, which was opened in November.

In addition to salt plates, the company produces lime dust. In particular, the company manufactures about 15 tons of lime per day.

Also, the company has established a wide production of wall and ceiling plasterboard sheets, which are supplied to the domestic and foreign markets.

The company is located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan. The company's workshops are equipped with Chinese equipment and are designed to produce up to 15 packages of drywall per shift, each of which consists of 55 sheets with an area of 3 square meters each, with a thickness of 9.5 millimeters.

Small and medium-sized businesses in the country remain stable. Thus, 66 percent of Turkmenistan's production structure is accounted for by private businesses. From the beginning of the year until July, representatives of the private sector have increased the manufacture of industrial products by 18.9 percent, and agricultural and food products by 28.7 percent.

Investments are also being attracted to the development of the sector.
