BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 23
By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
After simplifying the registration of land in Georgia, up to one million hectares have been registered, said Georgian Minister of Justice Gocha Lortkipanidze, Trend reports via Georgian media.
In 2019, the Georgian Ministry of Justice developed a concept for systematic and sporadic registration of land plots, which assumes the completion of the process within three years. With a systematic approach, all land plots in a particular area are simultaneously entered into the cadastral book, and with a sporadic approach, registration is carried out upon request.
"In 2020, we have greatly simplified the filing of documents. Now land registration does not depend on local authorities, but only on the register. We have reduced the list of documents required to establish land rights, and now a copy of the land ownership document is enough and there is no need to take into account the date issuing the document," Lortkipanidze said during his speech in parliament.
According to him, over the past four years, up to 1 million hectares have already been registered, when before that, only 900 thousand were registered in all years.
Registration of agricultural land is the main condition for obtaining benefits from the state for farmers.
