Revenues, expenditures of budget of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan to increase in 2021

The revenues and expenditures of the budget of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are projected at 506.5 million manat ($297.9 million), Trend reports on Dec. 22 with reference to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance.

In accordance with the data, revenues and expenditure of the budget of Nakhchivan will reach 22.7 million manat ($13.3 million) in 2021, which is by 4.7 percent more than in 2020.

"The introduction of compulsory health insurance has begun in the Nakhchivan and 23 other cities and districts of the country since January 2020 and it is planned to introduce compulsory health insurance throughout Azerbaijan from January 2021," the report says.

In this regard, the funds worth $62.3 million are envisaged in the state budget for 2021 to finance contributions for compulsory medical insurance of employees of organizations which are financed from the state budget.

The budget revenues of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the first half of this year amounted to 55.5 million manat ($32.6 million) and expenditure - 219.6 million manat ($129.2 million) or 93.5 percent compared to the envisaged 234.9 million manat ($138.2 million).
