BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 28. The transit route Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Türkiye plays an important role, firstly, in the consolidation of the Turkic world, Kazakh political expert Islam Kuraev told Trend.
According to him, this is explained by the fact that the economic component and financial interests bring countries closer together than common political views.
"Strengthening in this direction is an important strategic step. This kind of partnership leads to new opportunities. Therefore, it is important to understand that logistics is a major factor in the development of business between countries. I think this will give a new impetus to multilateral relations," Kuraev said.
Kuraev noted that China is looking for alternative ways to deliver its goods to the EU. European countries are looking for new transit opportunities for oil and gas from the region.
"Accordingly, Kazakhstan is trying to build a multilateral logistics network. Nowadays, these are routes such as Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Türkiye and Kazakhstan-Iran-Türkiye," he said.
"There is extensive interaction between the countries. The capacity of the routes at the moment is not so high, but taking into account such agreements [trilateral Baku Declaration], the quality and opportunities will increase," Kuraev said.
