The exchange price on RON-80 fuel in Uzbekistan increased by eight percent per ton, Trend reports referring to the digest of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange from December 1 to 18.
According to the information, the starting cost of sellers of RON-80 fuel for the reported period increased by 8.5 percent compared to November and averaged 5.6 million soums per ton.
The exchange noted that the exchange price of gasoline accordingly increased, exceeding 5.7 million soums per ton ($544).
The average starting price for RON-80 fuel in Uzbekistan in the period from November 30 to December 6 increased from 5.52 million soums to 5.67 milion (from $529 to $543) or 2.6 percent per ton.
According to information, a ton of fuel averages 1,293 – 1,370 liters.
In early December, it was reported that the price of RON-80 gasoline rose by 4.4 percent over the week.
Previously, the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan announced a further increase in prices for RON-80 fuel.
In addition, Uzbekneftegaz planned to reduce the cost of RON-92 fuel.
