Iranian food manufacturers are organizing a five-day food festival in Qatar starting on June 19.
The private food manufacturers hope to obtain a share of Doha's $2.5 billion annual food imports, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.
The festival's period is intended to coincide with Muslims' preparations for the holy month of Ramadan.
Qatar's 7 million residents have high income, making the country an ideal market for Iranian food exports. Meat, vegetables, processed food, seafood, rice, fruits and cooking oil are some goods that Qatar imports every year.
