Vietnam confirmed 154 more cases of A/H1N1 influenza within the past two days of weekend, raising the total number of flu patients in the country to 1,454, said Vietnam 's Ministry of Health on Monday, Xinhua reported.
Among the newly-reported cases, 99 were in the south, 26 in the north and 29 in the central highland provinces of Vietnam, said a report on the ministry's website.
So far, 1,073 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. The rest are being quarantined and treated, said the report.
Vietnam has reported two deaths of the A/H1N1 flu since its outbreak.
