Ankara has urged Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos to respect Turkey’s territorial integrity, said Hami Aksoy, Turkish Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson, according to the message of the Turkish Foreign Ministry on March 7.
The statements of President Pavlopoulos that Greece must return its historical lands are violation of international law, Aksoy noted.
He added that Turkey also urges Pavlopoulos to refrain from statements violating international law, which may lead to increased tensions between the two countries.
