An earthquake measuring 4.5 points hit the region of Kargi of Turkey's Chorum province, CNN Turk channel reported on Monday. No causalities or damage have been reported so far.
Turkey is situated in a seismically active zone and the earthquakes often leading to human losses occur in this country very frequently. The strongest fluctuations of the earth's crust in Turkey were recorded in 1999 in the Marmara sea region. The magnitude of the tremors at that time was 7.4 and caused the death of more than 18,000 people.
