Senior Iranian commander Rear Admiral Amir Rastegari says Navy's aerial defense division has downed two RQ-11 drones in the last two years, Press TV reported.
Rastegari said on Wednesday that these drones were respectively captured in August 2011 and October 2012.
The Iranian commander added that the data on the two drones have been completely decoded by Iranian experts.
On December 4, 2012, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' Navy Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi announced that a ScanEagle drone had been captured after it entered the country's airspace over the waters of the Persian Gulf.
Iran has released footage of the captured drone, which is a long-endurance aircraft manufactured by Insitu, a subsidiary of Boeing.
Last month, Iran repelled a US drone that had entered the country's airspace over its territorial waters in the Persian Gulf.
On December 4, 2011, the Iranian military also grounded a US RQ-170 spy drone while it was flying over the Iranian city of Kashmar.
The aircraft, designed and developed by the American company Lockheed Martin, had crossed into Iran's airspace over the border with Afghanistan.
Iran has slammed violation of its airspace by the US in numerous occasions and sent two letters of complaint to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the UN Security Council on November 23, 2012.
The letters urged the UN chief to warn the US "against the continuation of acts in violation of international law and of the adverse consequences of any provocative and dangerous acts for which the United States government would be held responsible."
