Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 12 /Trend, M.Aliyev/
Azerbaijan is expecting for unbiased report from the OSCE fact-finding mission, Deputy Executive Secretary of New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), MP Mubariz Gurbanli told NAP's website.
"The fact-finding mission must make its report, which must be objective. Otherwise, there will be no confidence in international organizations," he added.
"The fact-finding mission conducted investigation in the region for two times, analyzed the situation and prepared report. These reports are necessary because Armenia establishes illegal settlements in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, destroys our material and spiritual monuments, causes ecological disaster, as well as conducts illegal construction work. Armenia produces narcotic drugs in the occupied territories. All of these are against the international law".
OSCE MG co-chairs visited the region on Feb. 8-11.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and 7 surrounding districts.
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France, and the U.S. - are currently holding the peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council's four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
