Two people died from AIDS in Georgia in 2011.
A 43 year old man died from AIDS in Georgia. As the National Center for Disease Control told Trend, this is the second fatality from AIDS in Georgia this year.
Before this in January, a 48 year old woman died from AIDS. The cause of death in both cases was liver failure caused by AIDS.
According to the Georgian Center for AIDS Research, a growth of the number of HIV infected people is recorded in the country from the beginning of the year. In 2011, 38 new cases were recorded. Doctors say there is a growth, but it is not catastrophic.
Last year 456 new AIDS cases were recorded in Georgia.
