Today, on January 25, Azerbaijan's President, Ilham Aliyev has held a number of meetings within the participation in the World Economic Forum in the Swiss Mountainous Town of Davos, Trend reports.
The head of the Azerbaijani State met Klaus Schvab, the Chairman of the Davos World Economic Durum. During the meeting, Mr. Aliyev noted that the Forum, which played an important role in the issue on reinforcing relations between different countries, was holding very successfully. Mr Schvab expressed his satisfaction with Azerbaijan's economic achievements, and marked its role in the issue on ensuring energy security.
President Aliyev also met the leadership of Shall of the Netherlands and discussed perspectives of further cooperation between Azerbaijan and this oil giant. The Azerbaijani President also met Iran's Ex-President, Muhammad Khatami and the Head of the Soros Foundation, George Soros. Mr. Soros expressed his satisfaction with the processes occurring in Azerbaijan, and said that he was ready to cooperate with the country. During the meeting with the President of Cisco, John Sambers, the parties discussed issues on cooperation in IT sphere. Moreover, Mr. Aliyev met Ukraine's Prime-Minister, Viktor Yanukovich.
