Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / The first deputy chairman of the Congress of World Azerbaijanis (CWA), Azerbaijani MP Sabir Rustamkhanly, suggested turning the mass grave discovered in the region of Guba into a museum. He voiced this suggestion at a press conference in Baku on 28 August.
At the beginning of April a mass grave was discovered in the region of Guba while constructing a stadium. According to an expert group, the cemetery is a result of Armenian genocide against Azerbaijanis committed in 1918.
The CWA administration together with the Turkish researcher Turkhan Chomez visited the cemetery. In 1918, Armenians armed by Russian Bolsheviks slaughtered over 2,000 people in Guba, Rustamkhanly reported.
In order to wipe out traces, Armenians threw people still alive into pits previously dug for this purpose.
"Piles of human bones in the cemetery reach two metres height. Human bones can be found everywhere in this area and can even be found in yards," the MP said.
Rustamkhanly voiced his dissatisfaction at officials who do not show the appropriate awareness to this the fact, and do not visit the area.
The CWA chairman, Gulamrza Tabrizi, urged Jewish diaspora to focus on the slaughter of thousands of Jews in Guba by Armenians.
