Genocide Committed by Armenians in Guba District of Azerbaijan to be Discussed in Turkish Parliament

Azerbaijan, Baku, 30 March / corr. Trend A. Gafarov/ The genocide committed by the Armenians in Guba district of Azerbaijan will be discussed in the parliament of Turkey, said the members of the Turkish government and media who visited the mass burial place discovered in Guba.

A mass burial place was discovered in early 2007 in Guba district of Azerbaijan, 170 km north of Baku during construction work and archeological digs are being carried out in the place since then.

The historians and archeologists who visited the mass burial place found out that the burial appeared as a result of the genocide committed by the Armenians in 1918 in Guba. The remains of over 160 people have been uncovered up to now in the research area.

The government members of Sweden, Netherlands and Kyrgyzstan were among those who visited the burial. The foreign guests were informed that the Armenians pursued the policy of genocide against the Jews as well.
