WHO head in Azerbaijan expresses hope for not having total quarantine

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct.16

By Ilhama Isabalayeva – Trend:

Hande Harmanji, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Representative Office in Azerbaijan expressed hope that citizens will strictly follow the necessary recommendations on coronavirus, and there will be no need for total quarantine, Trend reports.

Harmanji noted that there has been an increase in the number of coronavirus infections in Azerbaijan in recent days.

"New approaches are currently being applied, such as partial restrictions on entry and exit to some cities and villages, where cases of infection are rapidly increasing," she said.

Harmanji also added that preventing the spread of infection cases depends on how people follow the recommendations.

"By following simple hygiene rules, keeping a physical distance, and not visiting crowded places, we can protect ourselves and our loved ones. In all places where there are a lot of people, and it is impossible to maintain a physical distance, you must use masks," concluded Harmanji.
