BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. The quality of internet in free Wi-Fi zones has been enhanced at the terminals in Baku and Sumgayit, as well as at the "Koroglu" and "Pirshagi" train stations in Azerbaijan, head of Azerbaijan Railways' passenger transportation department Azer Farajov said at a media briefing held in preparation for COP29, Trend reports.
Farajov pointed out that they're keeping their finger on the pulse with regular quality checks of the free internet service on trains.
Moreover, he pointed out that backup trains have been set aside to guarantee that passengers are whisked away on time and without a hitch. The security service is pulling out all the stops to ensure travel is as safe as houses and right on the money. Round the clock, the employees from the Azerbaijan Railways security department and the railway police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are keeping a watchful eye at stations and other infrastructure facilities, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.
"The operations of the situational center at Baku railway station are being refined to ensure continuous monitoring of passenger, train, station, and overall safety," he added.
To note, the Baku suburban railway, also known as the Absheron Circular Line, stretches a whopping 91 km (57 mi) and hit the ground running in 2019, providing a lifeline for commuters in the bustling Azerbaijani capital of Baku.
