A three-day international conference on multilateral researches into the Caspian Sea eco-system under NATO started in Istanbul, Turkey, on Wednesday, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources told Trend.
Attending the event are representatives from ecological administrations of the Caspian littoral countries. Amir Tagiyev, the head of the Sea Hydro-Metrology Centre at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan will represent Azerbaijan in the conference.
The forum will center on the result of researches into the eco-system of the sea, its fauna and flora, as well as preservation of the biological resources.
