BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. A meeting with a delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Alexander Lomsky was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
Both sides emphasized the dynamic development of cooperation across various sectors, including agriculture, highlighting Belarus as a key partner for Azerbaijan in this field.
Discussions focused on collaborative efforts in agriculture, the creation and management of agricultural towns, the establishment of agro-industrial complexes, livestock cooperation, and increasing trade in agricultural and food products. The parties also talked about the transfer of modern agricultural technologies and the implementation of practical programs in research and education within the agricultural sector.
As noted, the restoration work in the recently liberated areas is progressing rapidly, with Azerbaijan expressing its readiness to collaborate with friendly nations on agricultural recovery and development. The recently signed "Roadmap on joint measures to develop agricultural production between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus" on October 3 was highlighted as a significant step toward enhancing ties in the agricultural domain.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Alexander Lomsky emphasized Belarus's commitment to fostering cooperation with Azerbaijan in agriculture.
The meeting also included discussions on the activities of the Azerbaijan-Belarus working group in the agricultural sector, with both sides recognizing the substantial potential for expanding collaboration.
The meeting also featured a productive exchange of views on various topics of mutual interest.
