Over 30 blood samples from wild birds were taken during the bird flu monitoring, the Agriculture Ministry's State Veterinary Service spokesman Yolchu Khanvali said.
"We have finished monitoring and took blood samples from wild animals for examination," Khanvali said.
The monitoring covered the Absheron Peninsula, Davachi, Salyan, Lankaran and Agjabadi and Caspian coastline. A special working group established by the Health Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, Ecology Ministry, Natural Resources Ministry and Hunters Society representatives conducted the monitoring.
The results of the monitoring will be released on Feb. 27.
The service said birds will finish actively migrating in late March. However, the situation in the country is considered stable.
Previous monitoring did not reveal the bird flu virus.
