Uzbekistan, Tashkent, June 13 / Trend D. Azizov /

Carlsberg Uzbekistan (UzCarlsberg) is Carlsberg Group's wholly-owned subsidiary. It temporarily suspended its operations in Uzbekistan, a source in government circles told Trend on Wednesday.

The interlocutor of the agency said UzCarlsberg has stopped producing and sent its employees on unpaid leave until September. Only specialists dealing with the technological equipment and some managers work at the enterprise.

The reason is connected with the problems with the company's business, which arose last year, the interlocutor said.

UzCarlsberg joint venture's financial and economic activity has been thoroughly examined since mid. 2011. The employees of the prosecutor's office also attended the monitoring. There is no information about the results.

The representatives of Uzbek official bodies and UzCarlsberg refuse from commenting the situation in the joint venture.

Carlsberg Group acquired BBH's assets and became a full owner of all BBH's assets, including Sarbast Plus in 2008.

Carlsberg Group bought out Uzbek partner Sarbast Plus's share in July 2009.
