A meeting between Acting Head of the Tashkent Administration Jahongir Artykkhojayev and Mayor of Budapest Istvan Tarlosh was held on May 6, the press service of the city administration said.
Reportedly, the sides signed a memorandum of cooperation during the meeting. In order to further develop and strengthen cooperation, the parties agreed to hold joint events and share experience, information and knowledge in various fields.
The document covers a number of areas, such as urban planning and integrated development of the city, passenger transport, water management and wastewater treatment, economic cooperation, including interaction between the chambers of commerce and industry of the cities, partnership in the social and cultural sphere, development of tourism and establishment of partnership ties between different organizations.
During the visit to Uzbekistan, the delegation of Budapest also visited Samarkand and Bukhara cities.
