Major Azerbaijani holding intends to expand exports

Azerbaijani industrial conglomerate Azersun Holding intends to expand its presence in foreign markets, the holding told Trend June 8.

"By updating and developing our technological base, and by producing goods that meet modern market requirements, we intend to take a strong position in the international markets," the holding said in a statement.

It is noted that in 2017, the holding exported 125,000 tons of products, of them 22,000 tons were delivered to Russia, 23,000 tons - to Georgia, 7,000 tons - to Iran, and 2,000 tons - to EU countries.

It is reported that currently Azersun Holding is working on three new projects.

"The priority investment areas for the holding are the creation of agro-complexes and agro-parks based on modern technologies that will provide a local raw material base for sustainable local production and development of regions of Azerbaijan," the message said.

Azersun Holding was established in 1992. The scope of activity of the holding includes processing and packaging of tea, vegetable oil, trade and distribution, construction, production of cardboard and paper products, canned meat and vegetables, transportation and storage of goods, etc.
