International reserves of Kazakhstan down by nearly 9%

The value of foreign exchange reserves of Kazakhstan amounted to $86.362 billion in June, which is 0.39 percent less compared to May 2019, Trend reports with reference to preliminary data of National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, compared to December 2018, this sum has decreased by 2.87 percent.

The gross foreign exchange reserves increased by 0.48 percent since May (decrease of 8.87 percent since December 2018) and amounted to $28.185 billion. The value of assets of National Fund of the country amounted to $58.177 billion during the reporting period, which is a monthly decrease by 0.81 percent (+0.33 percent).

Net foreign exchange reserves of Kazakhstan also decreased by 0.47 percent (decrease by 9.01 percent) and equaled to $27.697 billion.

In turn, the assets in freely convertible currency (CFC) have decreased by 11.63 percent since May (decrease of 32.68 percent since December 2018) and amounted to $11.131 billion. The assets in gold stood at $17.057 billion, which is 10.35 percent more than in May and 18.5 percent more than in December 2018.
