Uzbekistan boosts co-op with Israel in agrarian sector

Uzbekistan and Israel reached an agreement on the development of additional measures that will increase the supply of high-quality agricultural products from Uzbekistan to the Israeli market and create favorable conditions for Uzbek exporters, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

On July 23, 2019, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel Said Rustamov met with the head of the Plant Protection and Inspection Services under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel, David Opatowski.

The negotiations discussed the results of the Uzbek-Israeli agrobusiness forum, held in Uzbekistan at the end of May with the participation of more than 15 Israeli agricultural companies, as well as issues of further expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel in the agricultural sphere, including strengthening inter-agency cooperation and promoting business partnerships circles of two countries.

Taking into account the leading positions of Israel in the world in introducing innovative solutions to the agricultural sector, contributing to increasing production efficiency, the Israeli side expressed readiness to promote the exchange of experience, training and advanced training of Uzbek specialists, primarily through the use of the potential of the Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel - CINADCO.
