The export of goods from Azerbaijan to Portugal in total terms amounted to $157 million from January through October 2020, which shows a 55.7 percent decline compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Thus, the share of Portugal in the total export of Azerbaijan decreased from 2.1 percent to 1.28 percent.
By early November 2020, the import of Portuguese products to Azerbaijan decreased from $11.6 million to $9.8 million (15.5 percent) for the year.
The share of Portugal in total import of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.11 percent of the total volume compared to 0.1 percent in the same period of last year.
The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries amounted to $166.7 million, which is 2.2 times less compared to the same period of last year.
The balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Portugal remained positive over the reporting period, amounting to $147.1 million.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
