BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. A total of 1.97 million tons of goods worth about 109 trillion rials (about $2.58 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (August 6 through August 11, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is a decrease of 22 percent in value and 5.7 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (July 30 through August 4, 2022).

So, 2.09 million tons of goods worth about 140 trillion rials (about $3.32 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, 1.7 million tons of goods worth about 68 trillion rials (about $1.62 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section include cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, precious metal concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, 264,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 39.2 trillion rials (about $932 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottom, lube cut, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.

Furthermore, 7,800 tons of various products worth 1.36 trillion rials (about $32.5 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
