BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 259,000 tons worth $245 million, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.

According to Latifi, the non-oil trade turnover between the two countries increased by 74.2 percent in terms value, while decreased by 2.67 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“So, Iran's trade turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 266,000 tons worth about $141 million in the same period last Iranian year,” he added.

The spokesman also pointed out that Iran exported more than 250,000 tons of goods worth about $232 million to Azerbaijan in 4 months, which is an increase of 78.4 percent in value, while a decrease of 2.62 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Whereas, in the same period last Iranian year, Iran's non-oil exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 257,000 tons worth $130 million, Latifi said.

The customs official noted that Iran also imported 8,600 tons of goods worth $13.5 million from Azerbaijan over 4 months, which is an increase of 24.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 4.1 percent in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Iran's imports from Azerbaijan amounted to 8,970 tons worth about $10.9 million in the same period last Iranian year,” he said.
