BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 10. Kazakhstan’s RG Gold company, which develops the Raygorodok deposit in the Akmola region, has launched a new mining and metallurgical complex, Trend reports via the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

According to the ministry, the new enterprise, capable of processing up to five million tons of ore per year, will allow the company to increase its annual production to six tons of doré bar [semi-pure alloy of gold and silver].

The complex was designed by international engineering companies with a focus on production automation and the use of the latest technologies in metallurgy.

The plant, built by Kazakhstan's AAEngineering Group (general contractor) within one and half year, operates according to the CIP (‘Carbon in pulp’) method.

The enterprise is provided with modern equipment from world leaders such as Metso Outotec (Finland), ThyssenKrupp (Germany), FLSmidth (Denmark), Weir Minerals (UK), Roytec Global and Kemix (South Africa). The use of high-tech equipment ensures the safety of personnel and increases production efficiency at low operating costs.

During the design and construction of the complex, RG Gold followed the principle of zero emissions into the environment. The plant will carry out cyanide neutralization in accordance with international requirements. After preliminary cleaning and neutralization, all waste will be sent to a tailing dump with a capacity of over eight million cubic meters, built under the supervision of international experts.
